A Ouachita Parish man has been arrested for multiple counts of simple burglary. The burglaries occurred in Richland Parish, Ouachita Parish and most recently in Lincoln Parish, at Cranford’s Northside.

The suspect, Richard Wayne Craig of 217 Washington Street in Monroe, gained entry to the businesses and took petty cash and cigarettes. Detectives from all three parishes worked the cases simultaneously and eventually served a search warrant at Craig’s residence on Thursday April 5th. As a result of this search, detectives were able to recover items taken in the Crawford’s burglary. Craig was taken into custody and is currently housed at the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center where he is charged with five counts of simple burglary and one count of attempted simple burglary. The investigation is continuing and more charges are expected. The detectives from all three parishes did a great job working on this case.  As a result of them working together and sharing information they were able make an arrest in a timely manner.
